Apartment, Paris V - 2026
Situated high above Paris’s sea of zinc rooftops, on the penultimate floor of a 1920s building, the apartment looks out towards the dome of the Panthéon.
Fascinated by places that seem to exist outside of time, we allowed distant eras to brush freely against one another until, as in a Nabokov novel, time itself dissolved completely.
We designed stainless-steel marquetry framing handmade glass panels. Integrated lighting softens the Parisian light. Crystal acrylic and resin sit alongside six-metre-long oak floorboards. Iranian onyx, in dreamlike colours, reveals the beauty of the earth beneath our feet.
A large part of the furniture was designed specifically for the project. Conceived after a journey through Brazil, and under the spell of its most sensual lines, the collection seeks less to impress than to explore the mystery of their infinite softness.
